Big’s BBQ Brew Pub: At Big's, we source local ingredients when possible. Our meats are mostly locally raised and our smoked sausage is handmade in-house. We've partnered up with a local bakery for bread and other baked goods as our kitchen uses no fryers, microwaves, nor ovens! Big's Iowa-style barbecue uses the perfect mixture of the various regional specialties and techniques and combines it into an amazingly delicious style all its own.

Skillet Cafe: Specialties include made-to-order omelets, pastas, potatoes and salads, as well as a variety of sandwiches and wraps. A full breakfast menu is served all day. You could best describe us as something between a diner and a bistro or cafe. You order at the counter and can see your food being prepared in our open kitchen.

Buchanan House Winery & Vineyard: Buchanan House Winery is a beautiful stop not too far from the hotel. A 19th century mansion tuned modern winery is just south west of Lowden in Tipton Iowa. The tasting room is open to the public daily and reservations are not required. Come out and taste some fabulous local wine!

Tipton Family Restaurant: Locally owned restaurant in downtown Tipton, serving breakfast (any time of the day), lunch and dinner. Open seven days a week.

Tiffiny's Tipton Bakery: The Tipton Bakery was started by the Hartog family in 1928. The amazing Tipton Bakery Crescent (TM) was introduced and has been a signature item for the last 89 years! People travel from all over for their delicious crescent. We have also shipped them as far as Australia, Afghanistan, and South Korea.
