Iowa Web Developer Launches New Web site for the Historic Lincoln Hotel

Lowden Iowa historic Lincoln Hotel PressLOWDEN, Iowa (June 27, 2005) - Leading Iowa hospitality design firm creates original Web site for Liz and Brad Norton, owners of the historic Lincoln Hotel in Lowden.

"I am so excited, I can't wait to tell all my friends and regular guests about the launch of the new Web site," declared innkeeper Liz Norton.  The introduction of the new site is, without question, a perfect example of one Iowa small business driving the success of another," said Amelia Painter, general manager for, from her office on Main Street in Fostoria, Iowa.

The mere idea of a computer company guiding the way toward financial success of a bed and breakfast inn may be difficult for some to imagine, but in today's age of technology, such an unlikely partnership is key to the success of these very different businesses.  Ten years ago, these two industries had very little, if anything, in common, but with the acceptance and spread of digital technology and the rise of Internet standards, these two industries now compliment each other.

The new, exquisitely designed Web site is as helpful as it is aesthetically pleasing. Visitors view and, within seconds, get a real taste of what a getaway would be like at the Lincoln Hotel. Whatever the visitor is looking for, from basic online reservations to valuable information on surrounding points of interest, the redesigned site caters to every possible inquiry. The historic Lincoln Hotel is a popular eastern Iowa destination and offers its guests premier Lowden accommodations.

"A great deal of hard work has gone into the web site renovation," says Painter about the project.  "When we created the first site for the Lincoln Hotel a number of years ago, the technology was different and online reservation services were most expensive and not really an option for a small hotel operation."  Today's advanced design tools and a partnership between the Iowa Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers Association (IBBIA) with online reservation computer company, made it possible to improve navigation for visitors and include secure online reservations as an option for potential hotel guests.

The Lincoln Hotel is a completely refurbished, award winning bed and breakfast, that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1996.  The last of the interior rooms was completed this spring -- a luxurious master suite that includes a sitting room, dining area, and private bath.

Also noteworthy is the fact that all member inns of the Iowa Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers Association are approved and inspected. Inn reviews are thorough in scope, covering safety and security items as well as appearance, comfort, and cleanliness. Food preparation, amenities and administrative items are also evaluated as part of the review process.. IBBIA is the only Innkeeper Association in the State of Iowa that requires such close scrutiny of their membership, but this policy lets guests know that member inns will automatically deliver a consistently clean, comfortable and professional experience." provides website design and promotion services to the hospitality industry and manages a number of state B&B association sites, including Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa.
